In late summer the sky above the harbour never quite goes dark. The blue hour stretches almost to midnight, and the long exposures come out softer than anything I get further south.

A friend gave me a box of Portra that expired years ago. Overexposing by two stops kept most of the colour, although the greens drifted towards yellow in a way I have started to like.
Three days of ferries, rocks and wind. Most frames are of water, which is either very boring or exactly the point.
